PROVIDING TO MEET A NEED

 

The JC Ward Memorial Scholarship has been a huge blessing to its recipients since its inception.  Numerous students have been supported through the generous donations of the Hunter Hill First Baptist Church members, family and friends.  The scholarship is funded in two simple ways:  through Partners in Education (P.I.E.) and The Annual Scholarship Banquet.

PARTNERS IN EDUCATION

 

In April 1990, the JC Ward Memorial Scholarship Committee formed Partners in Education (P.I.E.) to help fund our efforts with a monthly pledge program. You may become a PIE member today, and throughout the year, by filling out the form in the vestibule and returning it to a member of the scholarship committee or by clicking the link to"JOIN NOW".

SCHOLARSHIP SUNDAYS

 

Every 5th Sunday at Hunter Hill is Scholarship Sunday.  

 

A special offering is collected on these days to support the scholarship fund.

ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP BANQUET
 
The committee hosts a fundraiser banquet annually to support the scholarship known as "A Celebration of Learning".  It is an opportunity to fellowship and support. 
 
The "Celebration of Learning" banquet is traditionally held on the 4th weekend in July. Guests may purchase tickets to attend the dinner following morning services.  Tickets are available throughout the month of July from any committee member or scholarship recipient.  This year's banquet is being postponed due to COVID-19. We hope to resume the banquet next year. Please check the church's Facebook page and Realm for updates.
